Who is supplying our candidate with communications and drama coaching? And who’s in charge of lighting (at least under controlled conditions)? Or, is the make-up artist off key?
You are not doing him any favors.
I had suffered from the same problem when I ran for governor of Wisconsin as the Reform Party candidate.
Tell him to let loose. He is a compassionate man. But show it and feel it. Damn it.
Gentlemen, I helped reelect Richard Lugar as mayor of Indianapolis by creating an image of the man. That hit home. Together with now-Gov. Mitch Daniels.
One suggestion: Take Gov. Perry into a film studio and let a film director ask him some pointed questions about a subject he feels most compassionate about. Then see the results. He must come off as a Passionate Communicator…
